We require a dedicated Global Commodity Leader to join our professional team so we will continue to provide an outstanding reputation for innovation, quality, performance and reliability.
We are now seeking a highly experienced Global Commodity Leader to join the Global Supply team. Duties include:
• Hold primary responsibility for global spend on identified key commodities
• Manage and lead development of global supply chain for identified commodities
• Be functional excellence leader within corporate purchasing group
• Develop global Sourcing Strategies for assigned commodities
• Manage appropriate Supply Managers at each CGT site
• Ensure implementation of Global Sourcing Strategies
• Monitor world supply market conditions for assigned commodities
• Lead negotiations with suppliers for assigned commodities
The Global Commodity Leader should ideally be educated to Degree level or equivalent, have exposure to Six Sigma and ideally also have an MBA. You should also have significant and demonstrable experience in Supply Management, ideally within Manufacturing Engineering along with experience of global sourcing, negotiating and managing contracts. All applicants should also be high quality communicators, strong decision making skills and ability to lead and mentor teams. You will also ideally be confident in dealing with process improvement, functional excellence and good appreciation of total cost of ownership principles.
